HOW IT STARTED
I began my graphic design career in 1988 as a sophomore at John Marshall High School in San Antonio, Texas. My drawing of the school's mascot, the Rams, received praise, and with my father's screen printing business, we presented a package to the school's booster program. Our first order was over $9,000, with a nearly 40% profit. Over the next two years, we worked with several San Antonio area high schools before moving to Florida.

CIS
In 1993, I launched Custom Image Support in Southern California, offering custom screen-printed apparel to support booster program sales. After attending a screen printing course in Arizona, I transitioned from hand-drawn designs to using a Macintosh Quadra 610 with Adobe Photoshop 2.0 and Illustrator 5.0. I began creating and presenting custom designs for football and booster programs, which proved very successful. While working full-time at B.F. Goodrich Aerospace as an FAA QC Inspector, I operated CIS on the side until I transitioned to graphic design full time after 11 years.
